Spring Forward

I’m sorry I’ve been away for a bit. I’ve been busy with a few projects and just recovered from a pretty bad cold due to Chicago’s crazy cold weather. For those who are from the Chicago area. Who is ready for winter to be over? I sure am! I’m so ready to spring forward out of this cold weather. To brighten my days from this cold drab winter, I’ve picked up a few things that keep me inspired for the transition into spring.

I’m consistently on the go, so I do not have all the time in the world to get dolled up, however, these few items that make me feel like I am. Pump it Up!!

I made a commitment to stay fit this year. At work, a few of my colleagues and I agreed to do a fitness challenge, the P90X challenge. We are challenging ourselves to stay fit, eat healthy, and of course fit into that bathing suit thats been hiding in our drawer. (lol well, at least I can speak for myself.) We all have our goals set to be healthy. Here is the schedule I’ve been using everyday. So far, the fitness routine is working. I’ve been keeping up with it so far and have seen some results. Maybe I will have the courage to post some of the before and after photos. Till then, I’ll keep you posted on my journey to healthy living soon. Check out my P90X schedule.

I recommend you pick up a copy of the DVDs. If you are willing to put in the time, this stuff works!!

Better Late than Never

This is my first post for the year 2012. YAY! Happy be-lated New Year everyone. I have been away for a bit. I was enjoying time with loved ones during the holidays. Like many who start out the new year, many of us come up with ‘the list’ of things we want to work on. I too have been working to improve myself. Who doesn’t want to live a more enrich life? Well, here are a few things on my list:

10. Eat a good and healthy meal everyday.
9. Time Management by keeping a schedule.(Still working on this. Attention to title of post. Enough said.)
8. Learn to take breaks, vacation and enjoy life. (I’m a workaholic)
7. Help those in need and less fortunate than myself.(Volunteer at a homeless shelter and donate items I no longer use. I have way too many things I do not use)
6. Accept things or situations that I have no control over.
5. Learn how to cook more healthy and meals. (learn how to make tasty vegan/vegetarian meals)
4. Learn about more about other cultures and experience other cultures. (travel overseas)
3. Face my fears. (be a certified diver and swim it the deep dark blue ocean)
2. Break a bad habit. (pick at already peeling nail polish)
1. Be present and mindful.
